Waco

Waco se gana el sobrenombre de Heart of Texas por su ubicación céntrica en el centro norte de Texas y por la calidez y amabilidad de su gente. Situado en el corredor entre Dallas y Austin, Waco es el lugar ideal para el deporte, las compras y visitar la gran cantidad de restaurantes. 

Camina en Cameron Park, ve de compras en el centro de Magnolia Market y pasea por el distrito cultural e histórico que se extiende desde Austin Avenue hasta Elm Avenue. Camina por el río Brazos en el histórico Puente Colgante, construido en 1870, donde los cascos del ganado seguían los senderos Chisholm y Shawnee hacia el norte. Los niños pueden refrescarse en el parque acuático Waco. Y hay muchas atracciones culturales como galerías, museos y teatros para visitar durante el tiempo que no estés en la bicicleta .

El centro de Waco ofrece toda la diversión durante la semana de la carrera, con restaurantes, bares, cervecerías, tiendas y las actividades de GFNY del Centro de Convenciones de Waco, como la Expo previa a la carrera, los paseos grupales previos a la carrera, el inicio y el final de la carrera. ¡Te espera mucho ciclismo y una divertida estadía en el corazón de Texas!

La Ruta

Corre en las carreteras abiertas, tranquilas y pintorescas del condado de Texas Central en GFNY Waco. La hermosa naturaleza te sorprenderá e inspirará mientras recorres la ecorregión principal de Blackland Prairie, las colinas y la sabana de Edwards Plateau. La ruta  pasa por tierras de cultivo, ganaderías y lecherías.

Las actividades de la semana de la carrera tienen lugar en el Centro de Convenciones de Waco.

La carrera comienza y termina en North University Parks Drive, a un lado del Waco Convention Center. Después de pasar por University Parks Drive, cerrada a los automóviles, y cruzar el río Brazos por el puente Herring Ave, dejas atrás la ciudad de Waco y entras en el condado de McLennan y su vasta naturaleza.

El esfuerzo aumentará un poco al abordar una colina de 2 millas de largo justo antes de ingresar al circuito de 35 millas. El circuito tiene algunas secciones planas que te permiten ir rápido en el pelotón, y también colinas suavemente onduladas que romperán los pelotones.

Los ciclistas de la ruta media harán el circuito una vez, mientras que los ciclistas competitivos de recorrido largo harán el circuito dos veces.

Sigue las carreteras de salida para regresar a Waco y la línea de meta festiva en North University Parks Drive. Únete a nosotros en las festividades posteriores a la carrera en el Centro de Convenciones de Waco para la comida post-carrera, la música y la ceremonia de premiación.

LA RUTA LARGA ES UNA COMPETICIÓN: Solo los finalistas de la ruta larga son elegibles para clasificaciones de categoría y premios generales y de podio. Si deseas competir y ser clasificado en tu categoría, debes completar la ruta larga . El Top 10% de los finalistas en cada grupo de edad ganan un lugar en el Qualifier Corral en cada evento de GFNY World.

LA RUTA MEDIA NO ES UNA COMPETICIÓN: Los corredores de la ruta media recibirán su tiempo de inicio a fin, pero no se clasificarán según el tiempo de llegada. Todos los tiempos de llegada se enumerarán en orden alfabético.

Beneficios incluidos como parte de GFNY Waco

EL JERSEY: Todos los corredores reciben un jersey oficial de GFNY Waco, que es vestimenta obligatoria en la carrera. El jersey está diseñado en Nueva York y fabricado en Italia.

TIEMPO DE CHIP: GFNY Waco es una carrera cronometrada. Cada atleta tiene su propio chip de cronometraje, que comienza justo después de cruzar la línea de inicio y se detiene cuando cruza la línea de meta. Los resultados de cronometraje estarán disponibles en gfny.cc/results.

MEDALLA DE FINALISTA: Cada finalista de GFNY Waco recibe una medalla, sin importar la distancia que hayan completado.
